Fashion Trends : Spring 2015
I know, it is still February, and in Latvia we are experiencing middle of winter (though I must say that not-so-cold one !). Still, days are slowly getting longer and brighter and somewhere deep inside first hopes for spring are arising. Mostly because we are tired of big, clumsy outerwear that hides all the beauty of our outfits (for those who did not lose hope and are still making effort when dressing up - are you ?).
Usually, I do not shop for a season in advance but recently I've been asked to take a look at Mohito's Spring 2015 Collection and this is the real reason to crave my favourite sunny time of the year ! Many of you asked about my collaboration with Mohito and let me honestly answer all of you : I spotted the brand since it got in Riga and liked for its style, versatility and very affordable price range so I am very happy for the opportunity to style their clothing in my looks ! Peppercakes is not an adverting space - it was made to share with you all the beautiful, great, blissful stuff that happens to me and inspire you to spend days full of happiness and love !
Returning to more everyday theme - here are spring trends I spotted while strolling through Mohito :
The overall trend seems to be street sports style which pleases me ve-ery much as I have become admirer of comfort-wear so finally there will be no disagreement between feeling good and looking good. Many pieces are added with translucent elements which makes outfit look more feminine and sexy.
The Spring is all about showing the awesome body you've been sweating on for whole winter in gym (haven't you ?! there is still time !!). Confident women will be dressed in pencil skirts with desirable slits, skinny pants and tight tops and blouses. More romantic souls (like I, ha) will be able to choose soft, straight cut jersey dresses for everyday and glamorous, half-translucent dresses for evening occasions.
Oh, my favourite part - all colours are bright, clean and joyful. The absolute dominant is yellow which is accompanied with white, red and electric blue. Of course, there is also black - it is always with us ! And little bit of khaki colour for those lazy days.
Sunglasses continue to stay on top of the accessories pedestal - my personal favourite aviator style as well as retro ones with plastic frames and colourful glasses.
While we are preparing new photos for Lookbook (already chose some outfits !), check few pics from Mohito's campaign :
