RECIPE : French Toast for New Year's Day Brunch

You know what they say - the way you meet New Year, will be the way you spend next year. Looks like my 2015 will be stress-free, tasty and spent with my loved ones (fingers crossed !). For me 1st January was always a part of celebration too. It is the first day of a new year, that we were waiting so much, so I usually like to dress up a little and continue festive mood for just a moment longer.
As I was going out for New Year's Eve, there was nothing special prepared for festive table and therefore nothing left for next day's breakfast. So I grabbed the most simple products hanging in a fridge and decided to make French Toasts for New Year's Day brunch. I was doing it for the first time and it turned out easier than I thought, so I will definitely cook them again ! This recipe is not very fit and light, but we will categorise it as a holiday dessert, deal ? Next time I am planning to use whole grain bread, low-fat milk and less butter to make it more healthy.
Ingredients (serves 2) :
50 g milk
1 tbs honey
butter, for cooking
1. Put all ingredients into a bowl.
2. Mix until smooth consistency. You can do it with electrical mixer or, like I did - with handheld one.
3. Heat a pan and melt butter on it.
4. Dip a slice of bread into egg-mix and throw on a pan.
TIP : Do not move bread on a pan, until it is cooked because it will get smeared !
5. Cook both sides until golden-brown. This happens very fast, so stay aware !
Have a yummie 2015 ! Sending you my love, dear Friends !
